Shop NowThe 2022 Tundra has an all-new power train lineup. The base setup is led by a twin-turbocharged V-6 engine that pumps out 389 horsepower. The V-6 is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. If you'd like a touch more power, you can upgrade to a hybrid power train that combines the V-6 with an electric motor to put out an impressive 437 horsepower.
The twin-turbocharged V-6 has better numbers than the 5.7-liter V-8 that led the last generation's power train. The old V-8 unit had a maximum output of 381 horsepower.
In its base model, the Tundra features rear-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is available as an optional upgrade. When it comes to towing, this full-sized pickup has a towing capacity of 12,000 pounds. It can also cope with a payload of 1,940 pounds in its cargo box.
The redesigned Tundra features a wide selection of infotainment features to make your drives more enjoyable. The heart of the infotainment system is an 8-inch screen, which is paired with a six-speaker stereo in Double cab models or a nine-speaker audio system in the CrewMax cab.
A wireless hotspot comes standard in all Tundra models, allowing you to stay connected wherever you are. You also get smartphone compatibility with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, which allow you to display your phone's apps on your infotainment screen.
You can upgrade your entertainment system to a massive 14-inch touch screen and add a boost to your listening experience with a premium 12-speaker stereo. Other optional upgrades include wireless device charging and a 12-inch digital gauge cluster.
TDriver safety technology is another area where this Toyota has a lot to offer. Standard safety features include forward collision warning and pedestrian detection. There's also an automatic emergency braking system that can bring your Tundra to a stop if you fail to respond in time to the alert sent by your collision warning system.
You can upgrade to a surround-view parking camera, which will make parking your pickup a whole lot easier. The parking system displays an aerial view of your vehicle on the infotainment screen so you can monitor potential obstacles from all sides as you maneuver your truck in or out of a parking spot.
