The all-new 2019 Toyota RAV4 made its grand debut at this year's New York International Auto Show and it's ready to blow away the average SUV driver with its updated convenience technology, updated engines and increased space. The Toyota RAV4 has been improving its design for the last five years and currently stands as the top-selling SUV in the Toyota brand's lineup. We here at Koons Tysons Toyota believe that the all-new RAV4 will continue this by providing everything that the average SUV driver needs for maximum space, efficiency and convenience, so let's take a look at some of the top features of the 2019 Toyota RAV4.

Top Features of the 2019 Toyota RAV4

  • Available Multi-Terrain Select and Available Toyota-First
  • Dynamic Torque Vectoring All-Wheel Drive with Rear Driveline Disconnect
  • Entune 3.0 with Wi-Fi Connect powered by Amazon with Amazon Alexa™ as well as Apple CarPlay™ capability
  • Two new Dynamic Force 2.5-liter I4 engines: one gasoline-powered with CVVT and eight-speed direct-shift Automatic Transmission and one Toyota Hybrid System II (THS II) with Electronically-Controlled Continuously-Variable Transmission (ECVT) for hybrid models
  • And a Digital Display Rearview Mirror, al new to North American Toyota RAV4 models

Let's take a look at their engines, both of them new to this SUV, but both of them combine a lot of power with efficiency that the Toyota brand is known for. The 2.5-liter Dynamic Force I4 gasoline engine combines both high-speed engine combustion technology with continuously variable valve timing (CVVT) to deliver increased energy output while, at the same time, boosting fuel efficiency. The improved 40 percent thermal efficiency output delivers increased traction into the Dynamic Torque-Vectoring All-Wheel Drive for optimal traction in any weather conditions.

The other new engine is to be the standard for the 2018 Toyota RAV4 XSE Hybrid models which combine the powertrain of the Dynamic Force I4 engine with the fuel efficiency of a hybrid electric motor and battery, provided through the Toyota Hybrid System II (THS II). With 41 percent power output and the hybrid system, you'll have an SUV that's ready to outperform any other mid-sized SUV of this class. Complimenting the THS II system and engine is sport-tuned suspension which provides a much lighter turning radius, a smoother ride and increased fuel efficiency.
